Mena Alexandra Suvari (born February 13 1979) is a famous American model and actress. She is also a fashion designer model. Following a brief time as a fashion model, she quickly transitioned to acting by appearing as guest stars on TV shows such as Boy Meets World in the 1990s, and High Incident. She debuted in film with the drama Nowhere that was which was released in 1997. With her performances on American Beauty - for which the actress was nominated to receive a BAFTA Award - and American Pie, which garnered much attention as she stepped into more prominent roles. She was in the film industry for a year, and starred alongside her American Pie co star Jason Biggs. In 2001, she took on the leading role on the film Sugar & Spice (2000). Spun the independent drama that aired in 2002, and the action film Trauma (2004), were her two most recent appearances. She appeared in HBO's dramatic series Six Feet Under. In 2004, she was recognized as an Outstanding Cast member in the Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008, she was featured in several films such as Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh as well as the adaptation film to The Garden of Eden. Suvari is a model in Lancome Paris Adaptive, and she's been on several blogs and fashion magazines such as Vogue. Suvari has been a loyal advocate and supporter of the esteemed African relief organization known as the African Medical and Research Foundation.
